And the lighting of a cigarette was also captured on that night trek to Matheran. I think it was Mitra's first experiment with an SLR and an ISO 400 film in the middle of the night.

ISO 400 gives really grainy pictures.
Better to go super low on the aperture, do a spot meter for the light on the flame itself and take the photo close up.


You can get away with upto a 10 or so shutter (and still get a crisp picture) if there is no wind, sometimes more.
