The worth of Gmail invites..

One has to admit that if your wife/girlfriend is also a s/w engr then a gmail invite is one of the coolest gifts you can give to her :) and it comes free to :p

Some days ago Megha pointed out all this craziness to me..I never knew.

Harshal: No interesting private mails from UNinteresting people this time around :)

United States Patent: 6,727,830

This story is about patent 6,727,830 and it proves that the US patent office is full of nincompoops.

Gmail invites

Three lucky people today. Megha, Nikhil and Harshal. Thankfully I did not have a problem choosing since I had exactly 3 invites :)
In the meanwhile some managers thought I was working pretty hard and gave me a "Thank You Award" :D. I hope it has slightly more substance to it than "Employee of the month" at fR :))

Blogroll

Latest in here is the blogroll courtesy bloglines.

My flash drive seems to be pretty much up there..

Ars Technica: USB 2.0 Hi-Speed drive review - Page 10 - (6/2003) gives the comparison of the flash drives in the market. My Sandisk cruzer mini fares pretty well in the review. It aint the best one as far as read-write speeds are concerned but has good average perf for both.

Google cooks blogging.

Google Blog has this appetizing read posted on it recently. The oregano reminds me of the oregano chicken that Amlan and Mitil (mostly Mitil :)) had successfully made at their place a few weeks back. The preparation is very simple. Just marinate some boneless chicken or chicken breast in some lime juice and oregano mixture for a long long time. Then cook it in a microwave..fat free..no need to add any oil etc. Tastes excellent.
