Mapping keys on a ThinkPad

If you miss the windows key or the application/right click key (I know Prerana did at some point of time) on your ThinkPad then you will be pleased to read this. Click the blue button i.e. Open "Access IBM" using the button on the TP or the desktop shortcut. Then "Manage keyboard & pointing devices" -> "Map keys to functions" and customize as you like. Thanks to Neeraj Sharma for enlightening me!

Oh Man ... you are getting some rather bad comment spam.

The Access IBM button doesnt do anything here. (Maybe because stingy people didnt get me a WinXP license and I am stuck on Win2k??)

What exactly is supposed to happen on hitting the Access IBM button? Some IBM specific software starts up?

Ya bad comment spam..will need to ban anonymous comments. Anyways the Access IBM button is supposed to throw up some Help/Tips/Config integrated application which is quite helpful at times. If hitting the button does not help try the shortcut on the desktop. If even that does not help try to locate and start up "TpKmapAp.exe" which is the application that takes care of the key mapping.
